Home Remodeling

This Redwood City whole home remodel works through the kitchen, entry and bathrooms in a consistent two-tone scheme. White oak and charcoal cabinetry alternate across the kitchen, with charcoal uppers flanked by full-height oak towers housing stainless double wall ovens. A long white quartz island with a mitered waterfall edge runs the length of the room, served by a matte black pull-down faucet, while a separate coffee station in white oak keeps the main run clear.

A flush induction cooktop sits beneath a stainless hood against a quartz slab backsplash. The entry is treated as a room in its own right: a white oak front door with a full-height black pull opens onto a cushioned oak bench and a floating shelf above it, with flush charcoal storage running alongside, fitted out with adjustable shelving and pull-out shoe baskets so coats and shoes stay behind closed fronts. Bathrooms use walnut floating vanities, quartz tops and matte black fittings against marble-look porcelain, with shampoo niches and windows trimmed in black Schluter profile. Outside, the porch brick was painted matte black.
